Pomona College STS Minor
Pomona College offers
a flexible minor in STS comprised of six courses focused on one of the three STS tracks.
(History of Science and Technology; Philosophy of Science and Technology,
and Political, Cultural, and Social Perspectives on Science and Technology).
A minor is composed of
a set of core STS classes
and any one of the three sets of focus courses.
STS Core:
STS 1, Introduction to Science,
Technology and Society
One Upper-Division STS-approved
course outside the student's area of focus
History of Science and Technology
Focus:
Any two classes out of: STS 80,
81, or 82. (Ancient, Early Modern, and Modern History of Science and Technology)
